The artist, renowned for photographs of the female body that counter stereotypical views of feminine beauty, presents a new ensemble of videos and photos, the centrepiece of which is a diptych combining video and still photography. Introducing music into her work for the first time, in Dissonance she proposes a visual and sonic dialogue between two young women who have never met: a Ukrainian dancer and an Irish harpist. Focusing on intimate close-ups and oblique angles, she creates an enigmatic, sensual, often hypnotic work that invites us to immerse ourselves in the scene. Quote by The Editorial Magazine: There's something amazingly honest about the artist's work. In both her fashion imagery and personal projects, she explores the bodies of her female subjects from every angle, often assuming a vantage point so close or awkward that it teeters on the edge of uncomfortable.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
