Lamaindonne

Marcillac-Vallon, France · since 2011

éditions lamaindonne is a French photography publisher founded in 2011 by David Fourré in Marcillac-Vallon, in the Aveyron, after more than twenty-five years in publishing of children's albums, art books, lifestyle books and literature. Each book is conceived in close relation with its author, to find the form that is most faithful to the photographic work. The press has been part of France PhotoBook since 2020, won the HiP prize in the publisher of the year category in 2019, and runs a collection with the Galerie Le Château d'eau in Toulouse, presenting work by photographers the gallery has shown, at one book a year.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
