Atelier EXB
Atelier EXB is the name of the Paris house founded in 2002 by Xavier Barral and taken over in 2020 by the five members of its team. Its stated line is the new forms of photography, contemporary art and the sciences, and each book is built with as much care for form as for content. The list is best read through its collections: Des oiseaux, in which every volume asks a different photographer to look at birds; TXT, a small-format series of writing on photography and photographers; and the books of the HSBC Prize for Photography. Many titles are made with institutions, among them the Centre Pompidou, Jeu de Paume, LE BAL and the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.
