The French-Ivorian photographer explores territories and revisits history through the language of architecture as witness to memory and social change. As the first laureate of the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès Latitudes programme, he followed the railway line connecting Abidjan to Niger, built in former French West Africa to carry raw materials from Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, and records the stations, tracks and people along a line shaped by colonial history.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
