RM

Barcelona, Spain

RM works between Barcelona and Mexico, and the double base explains its list. It calls itself an independent house whose task is to promote the trends and the legacy of visual culture in Latin America and to reflect on the history and origins of the image. Mexican photographers sit beside American, British and Japanese ones, and next to the photobooks there is a curated catalogue of Latin American literary classics, with a Juan Rulfo collection of its own. Architecture, printmaking and graphic novels have their own series, and many titles also come as collector's or signed editions, so the same book can be bought plainly or as an object. RM is led by its editor and creative director, Ramón Reverté.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
