The book makes known the trajectory and the experiences of a communal, massive, indigenous and peasant theatre, and is at the same time a posthumous homage to its founder, Maria Alicia Martinez Medrano. In keeping with its principles and aims, the Laboratorio has given many marginalised communities the instruments to develop, to value and to enjoy their own artistic language, their traditions, their sense of the stage and the integration of their rituals, with a deep sense of dignity.
