Artphilein
Artphilein Editions is a publishing house established in 2013 to make photography-based books, and it is the book arm of a foundation: the De Pietri Artphilein Foundation, which is committed to promoting emerging artists. Its books explore the convergence of humanity and the environment, ongoing societal and territorial shifts, and personal narratives, offering, in its words, intimate perspectives on contemporary issues. The foundation also runs photobook contests whose winner is published by the house, a Donation Programme sends complimentary copies to libraries and institutions on request, and the books are supplied to the trade directly from a bookstore in Paradiso, near Lugano, in Switzerland.
