The first monograph devoted to Donna Gottschalk gathers a previously unseen selection of pictures made between the 1960s and the 1990s. The photographer's path unfolds alongside the companion account of Hélène Giannecchini, literature extending the photographic gesture: portraits of those close to her, scenes of militant life, the places of an everyday shared with the lesbian communities of the American counter-culture.
