To make African photography discovered, known and appreciated is the purpose of the Afriphoto series. Creating it came from the wish to give a space of expression to the creativity of photographers of the continent and of its diaspora, and to show work both recent and older, revealing very personal visions of their own world — a continent too often seen from a single angle. Four volumes a year, offered as a boxed set, co-published with Africultures, propose another view of it.
