Taking the British newspaper cartoon character Andy Capp as a starting point, the artist inserts small cut-outs of the comic-strip figure into a series of small-scale black and white photographs: wedged between empty glasses lined up on a bar, mirrors reflected at odd angles, buried under a pile of laundry, or climbing through a leafy bush, mixing lowbrow comedy with a deadpan photographic eye.
