The duo present a selection of carefully sequenced works from recent years, accompanied by an essay from a curator and writer. From the ghostly, transcendental images in one earlier series to the shiny sculptures of another, panoramic pictures, the kind everyone takes and fills their phones with but seldom revisits, are used as raw material, stretched out and manipulated into sculptural forms. The duo creates hyperreal utopias that synthesize and question beauty, kitsch, and visual desires in the imagery of the natural world. Misplaced sunsets, bubblegum waves, and full-spectrum panoramas exaggerate the already beautified landscapes surrounding us.
