A gathering of texts by the artist Eric Rondepierre, most already published elsewhere and reproduced here largely as they first appeared, some lightly reworked: diary entries, close readings, interventions, articles, extracts from novels and catalogues, notebook pages, fiction, press releases, lecture notes. Read together despite their very different registers, the pieces answer and echo one another, forming a loose self-portrait in prose of a photographer better known for his conceptual work with found cinema stills.
