The first photobook by Yosuke Morimoto, photographs made between 2006 and 2023 and laid out like the frames of a film. It began when he approached a woman standing alone in Yoyogi Park and asked whether he could take her portrait. He then left the park and met, one by one, the people hidden in the forest of the city, photographing each portrait and the place around it. Arranged chronologically, the pictures extend like a path walked, linking one-off faces and scenes into the present. These women and their surroundings, familiar yet easily overlooked, look back at the photographer and at us with a sense of the fleeting yet resilient: a book etched with the presence of individuals that is hard to perceive today.
