Updated version with new unpublished photographs and new sequence

This is an updated version of the original 'Hunger — Epilogue' by Michael Ackerman, featuring new unpublished photographs and a new sequence. This second edition is also a shrunk version of the first one (printed on a massive broadsheet dimension). The first edition of 'Hunger — Epilogue' is sold out. 'Hunger – Epilogue' is the first major Michael Ackerman publication since the book 'Half-Life'. Featuring works from his debut project 'End Time City', to works that have never seen the light of day so far, 'Epilogue' is a recollection of past and future universe. The text by Jem Cohen, his dear old friend, gives the reader an inside view of the artist's work and personality. The publication includes more than 130 images (many of them previously unpublished) and is therefore a unique opportunity to sneak into the artist's latest unpublished work.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
