Frontline: Bradford 1984/85 documents the Black life, style and community of 1980s Bradford through the photographs of Victor Wedderburn. Timely and powerful, the pictures are a time capsule of African-Caribbean life in the city in the early 1980s that captures an unseen side of Black Britain: hard yet soft and disarming, telling the story of a community the photographer knew from the inside out. The book is edited by Anne McNeill, with texts by Lanre Bakare and Carol Tulloch, and includes the poem The Front-line by Mycall Isrell alongside Wedderburn’s photographs.
