Radici is a physical memory, the sign of time — the constant desire to survive, to expand, to leave a trace. It is the heritage of our past and the elaboration of our present. Radici is something that grows underground, something that belongs to nature, and to nature will return. Starting from his vegetable garden in 2015, Fabrizio Albertini traces a two-year stream of consciousness that incorporates archival images from a museum in Cannobina Valley, where his mother grew up. A project of self-analysis, shooting instinctively in response to memories and landscape. Winner 1st prize Unveil'd Photobook Award 2018.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
