In an abandoned factory in a small Romanian town, more than a hundred self-made chairs were left behind when the plant closed in 2019. In all that industrial, linear atmosphere the brutal beauty of these objects stood out: a shape reinvented from one workstation to the next, a personal way of supporting and resting the body. Photographed exactly as they were found, in a setting that no longer exists, the work chairs are tailored, unique forms made from raw materials.
