Burroughs — the author of Naked Lunch and Junky who yearned for connection, lived with regret and learned the meaning of love from his cats — through his journals and intimate conversations with friends; Burroughs inspired William Lee, the film's protagonist and his stand-in. Includes an introduction by Kuritzkes, passages from the 1985 novel Queer, and archival photography of Burroughs.
