Soi 2 is the continuation of the work that Kotaro Yokomizo has been carrying out in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for more than two years. In this book of eighty colour photographs, he draws closer to his subject, focusing more on the people who inhabit this city and the traces they leave there. Yokomizo uses his camera to capture the atmospheres, the oddities, the textures, the contrasts and the scenes of Chiang Mai. His photographs are the testimony of a time and a place, of the singularity of the city.
