Days without Number is a collection of more than 700 photos shot by Giovanna Silva during the last three years of walks through NYC. Though organized as a calendar, it defies any sense of linear time or chronology, presenting instead a puzzle of images. She walked often more than ten miles a day guided by architecture, seeing as much as she could, obsessively passing by the same site again and again. The book features a text by NYC writer Sasha Frere-Jones. Co-Published by Head Hi

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
