A selection of pictures gathered by the community photographic archive of Peio, a small valley in the Trentino Alps. Besides telling in fragments the history of a place and of the people in it, the volume gives back the beauty of private images, simple and unposed, which too often stay hidden in the drawers of a house and are never shared.

The beauty that comes out of these family albums pulls us into a world that is no longer there but which has a universal value, one we all feel we belong to. The account in pictures is punctuated by short written pieces.
