Douglas Kirkland (born 1934) is a legend in press, fashion and cinema work. He worked for the most renowned magazines in the world for over fifty years, signing some of the best-known portraits of the Hollywood elite.

Having joined the staff of Life, he served there in the sixties and seventies — the golden age of the illustrated press — working as the sole set photographer on hundreds of films, from The Sound of Music to Moulin Rouge and Titanic.
