Pants Wear Skirts is the first monograph on the Künstlerinnengruppe Erfurt, the group of women artists formed in 1984 in Erfurt, in East Germany, around Gabriele Stötzer. This shifting constellation built, over ten years either side of the fall of the Wall, a body of work made of Super-8 films, performances, catwalk shows and costumes, together with manifestos and other initiatives.
