The book takes up an earlier, now celebrated work, Venetia Obscura, refining and renewing it and setting it beside pictures of Marghera made some years ago for the Biennale. Campigotto treats landscape as stage scenery and draws a line of continuity between two settings as different as Venice and Marghera, joined by their closeness in space and by the waterline they share.
