Five years after his first photobook, Dmitri Markov gathered new work made since, selected from a successful exhibition at Gogol Centre, into this second album. In the artist's own words, publishing pictures that already circulate freely online is partly an act of preservation - in case that freedom ever narrows - and partly a gift to the people who recognise themselves in the images: childhood on the outskirts, neighbours on a bench, familiar streets, and the readers themselves. The square format of the title points to the Instagram frame in which most of these pictures first appeared.
