Doom City. From the Nomadic Being to the Placeless Being is the latest project by the award-winning Spanish photographer Montserrat Soto, in which the artist challenges us with images and installations of a marked social and anthropological character. She stops time in architecture, in inhabited and abandoned spaces, and reflects on censorship and the limits of art. For years Soto has travelled the world scrutinising the surroundings of cities and capturing instants that speak, creating works in which her concern for ecology and memory slips in. Soto was awarded Spain's National Photography Prize in 2019.
