This reissue of Gerda Taro. La sombra de una fotógrafa is an in-depth study of the life of the photographer, of her integration into her time and of the political and intellectual circles she frequented. François Maspero investigates the true facts to bring the reader closer to the brave photographer, showing that she was much more than Robert Capa's companion: from her funeral in Paris, organised by Ce soir and L'Humanité, and her friendship with Rafael Alberti, to her meetings with Ernest Hemingway in Spain. A fascinating portrait of one of the most iconic photojournalists in history.
