Invited by Diaphane, I tried to describe this country through the presence of the Somme River, the canal and the ponds which structure these rural spaces. Quite naturally I also looked at the architecture of the surrounding villages and the way in which the work of farmers shapes the landscape in the manner of landscapers. I followed the course of the river from its source in Fonsommes to the Baie de Somme.

At a time when we look at the planet globally, I like to focus my attention on these nearby spaces, because affirming the singularity of all earth also means questioning our world.
