A study of the green algae spreading along the Breton coast, whose proliferation produces an environment toxic enough that a human being cannot survive in it. Pallot brings anticipation into the photographic medium and soaks the pictures in a science-fiction imaginary; by playing on the uncertainty of a near-future, the project hands the viewer a way into the real question, which is what happens to ecosystems that are exploited while biodiversity is going into decline. Begun during the 1+2 residency, the book also carries a text by Michel Poivert written in the voice of an AI in 2056, an ecoscopic fable.
