What if whispering could be a metaphor for a way of creating and living within biodiversity — observing and listening, being present to the world while leaving only a gentle trace? The studio then becomes a garden, the exhibition space a dune, deep listening a method of working and of exchanging with the public and the reader. This artist's book brings together pictures, drawings and poems that revolve around the eponymous installation on the pointe d'Agon, on the west coast of Normandy: on a dune acquired by the artist for the Conservatoire du Littoral stands a pierced wooden sculpture, and around it, inside that wild plot facing the sea, the walker is invited to become a whisperer and to listen to what surrounds them.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
