The first canto of the Odyssey reveals in a few verses the whole story of the famous epic: the journey to the edges of the Earth and the beyond, the adventures of Ulysses, the impossible forgetting of Ithaca and, finally, the return. We are immediately captivated by events in which mythology exalts the deeds of men, bound or guided by divine passions. Our childhood fascination with fairy tales is prolonged here, transposed onto a contemporary Mediterranean.
